It's pretty warm today, the temperature was up to 80 degree. I am enjoying it, I said that because you cannot predict what gonna be the weather here in Seattle. Even though if the weather channel would say it would sunny and nice, sometime the weather will go nuts and go the other way around if you know what I mean.
Anyway, I got to wear my shorty-shot (lol) and sleeveless top. I'd got the chance to take a picture of my mother-in-laws flower. She had a bunch of different kind of flower on her backyard, I love taking picture of anykind so I went ahead and took some. I will be sharing it here sometime soon, i have to download it first.
Green lake and beaches here are full with people. I hope the warm weather will last more than a day. Well! we will see .... I hope you are enjoying your weekend folks!

Are you trying to keep from reliving another embarrassing moment in a social setting or simply trying to prevent one from ever happening? Regardless, you're in the right place.
Sit properly. Cross your legs at the heels or simply keep them closed, especially when wearing skirts and dresses, although it is also necessary with blue jeans. When sitting, place your legs together especially when wearing a dress.. Regardless of the length of the garment on the lower torso, always keep your legs virtually hairless Whether it be a revealing outfit, (which most people wouldn't consider good in a sense of total formality around friends, family, coworkers, etc, but possibly for a romantic eventing at a fine restaurant) or something extremely conservative, always keep well groomed and clean in all areas of both the upper and lower torso. Though down-dos are typically more common, up-dos are a simple, neat, and stylish way to not only keep your hair looking good amid combed out, but to keep it out of your face as you eat. Bangs are cute, and though some people may not consider them a fashion statement. Remember the simple tips below and you can make an impression on others and also prevent embarrassment at your next formal dinner.
Always show up on time. There is no such thing as *fashionably late. When getting out of a vehicle try your best to exit without showing your undergarments. If there is a male opening the door for you, remember to thank them for their kindness. Be happy and smile all of the time without looking fake. When walking in high heels the heel should hit the ground first, then the toe. It has been proven not to be necessary to pace yourself in formal footwear, but walking turtle slow will make you appear as if you're trying too hard to be impressive. It is better to keep your legs closed rather than crossing them in public, especially when sitting at the table. This can cause discomfort especially if the table is not high enough. Always keep the napkin or cloth on your lap when eating. When leaving, kindly excuse yourself from the table and place your napkin on the table. Do not use your cellphone at the table while you're eating. Turn your cellphone off during the meal and if you must leave it on, excuse yourself if it rings to go outside or to a private area. Never apply makeup at the table. Once again, excuse yourself to the powder room. Use the basic "please," "thank you," "sir," "ma'am" words when speaking to elders or unfamiliar people. Treat friends and peers with equal respect though "sir" and "ma'am" aren't necessary. It is impolite for more than one person to leave the table, regardless of the number of people. Follow the direction of the host/hostess. Never start eating until everyone is served.
Though your friends are your friends and you should always be yourself, treat everyone with the same respect and get out of those slang using habits. People will also lose respect for you if you use gross-out humor in any setting.

Do you ever wonder if you should avoid telling the truth to keep from hurting someone's feelings? It is possible to be comfortably honest with people in situations that seem to require an offensive response.
1. Remember that honesty is the basis of any healthy relationship, whether with a friend or a significant other. Honesty gives rise to trust, which is absolutely essential. Lying to your friend can ruin a relationship almost instantly, if the lie is significant.
2. Consider the person with whom you must be honest. If he or she is shy or sensitive, then don't be brash and to the point. If it is a close friend with whom you can tell anything, then inform your friend accordingly. Adapt to your friend's personality and convey the necessary message properly.
3. Recognize some potential situations where the truth is necessary, but where a white lie might not be reasonable.
* The "Am I fat?" question. If your friend is being self-conscious, and is only a little bit on the big side, then reinforce that belief. Don't say "You're not that fat", as this comes off as sarcastic or insincere. Rather, use a comparative note. Consider, "You are not fat—trust me! There are a ton of people out there that are much bigger than you."
* The "Am I ugly?" question. Remember that beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Beauty is subjective! Everyone has different areas of beauty; it's important to stress these areas. Your friend might not have the most beautiful body, but he or she may have gorgeous eyes, or a smile that stops traffic. Make this clear to your friend/significant other!
* Your friend wants to break up with his or her significant other. It's important to stress your opinion, but only if it's relevant. If you simply do not like your friend's boyfriend, then don't use that as an excuse to persuade your friend to end it. If your friend's boyfriend is abusive, then convince your friend to break up on the grounds that she might get hurt.
4. Give advice constructively. When expressing an opinion that may conflict with that of the other person, particularly if it is about some work that they have produced, focus on the positive aspects of a recommendation, and avoid phrasing it as a mandate. Rather than saying "I don't like it because..." or "You should do this instead...", try something like "I think it would help to..." It is also best to mention any positive remarks you may have about the subject before giving advice. This way, the person is less likely to perceive it as an affront on their abilities and is more likely to consider following your advice.
It's easier to hear the truth from a friend than from an acquaintance or stranger. If you aren't particularly close to a person with whom you would like to be honest, but you still want to convey your message, then ask someone who is close to that person. For example, you might tell this person's close friend that he or she has bad breath, rather than telling the person yourself. Remember—take note of the person with whom you want to be honest, and adjust your tone accordingly. That is, don't be over-the-top with a quiet and shy person.
In short, don't be rude. There are other ways to inform someone of something without directly hurting his or her feelings.
While excessive white lies are counterproductive, remember that some things are just better left unsaid. That which you haven't said doesn't need to be taken back.
Helping to prepare your child for kindergarten may be a bit challenging for some and a breeze for others. Its all about the individual child. Here are some things to help get you and your child started.
Practice and get used to separation. This may be especially challenging for some, parents and children alike. If your child is not already in a day care or other child care situation, it is crucial to practice separation. Leave the child with a trusted entity twice a week for an hour or two. Practice makes perfect. Change the child's nap schedule so that it will be similar to the nap schedule at school. If your child is still taking naps everyday, it is a good thought to get them on a new nap schedule that will not alter with their school schedule. If your child is crabby during school, he or she may not get the full experience of nursery school that you would expect because they are too tired to learn.
Validate that your child is potty trained. Of course, this is apparent, but on occasion when some kids start preschool they’re not properly toilet trained. If you child isn’t completely trained by preschool, it not only puts a load on the teacher, but singles out your child as undeveloped with his peers. Meet the teacher with your child. When you meet with your child’s teacher be sure to talk over any matters. What’s more, introduce the teacher to your child as this will help to lessen some unease on the first day of school. Walk past at break-time to show children playing happily outside. This might help your child be more comfortable on their first day of school. Take them their the day before so that they'll be more at ease.
Talk about your child's interests and the things (s)he'll enjoy there - for example "there will be tons of sand to play with - you'll love that" or "there'll be book time". Talk about the enjoyable activities he'll be doing that build on things he already does at home - painting, drawing, cutting and pasting and listening to stories, for example.

School's out and you decide to look different when you come back. This article is here to show you how you can look absolutely gorgeous when you come back from your summer vacation.
Admit that you need a change in your body. Women will always compare themselves to one another, especially if they have low self-esteem to begin with. There is nothing wrong with wanting to lose some weight, but becoming obsessed with it is not helpful. What you want to do is join a sport, or just work out. If you want to join a sport, go to a few camps. It's an easy way to get in shape and meet new people. If you want to work out at home, buy a couple work out DVDs/tapes and actually do them. You can even buy a dumbbell set and a strength train if that sounds like a better idea. Cardio is generally the best type of work out to burn fat. Whether you do it at a gym or at home, do 30-45 minutes of cardio a day twice a week and strength train twice a week. Always remember to give yourself one day in between work-outs so that your muscles can rebuild themselves. Go to sleep! Your body needs time to relax and recharge after a harsh day, so you need at least 7 hours of sleep. Aim for 10 hours if you can, but 8 or 9 hours is fine. Do not use tanning beds or lay out in the sun without sunblock, because you will be asking for skin cancer and premature skin aging. Instead, you can use a self-tanner, which is a tan you apply. It lasts for about a week long though, so you might just want to use a gradual tanning lotion. Go to a dermatologist if good skin does not come naturally to you. To keep up what the dermatologist does for you wash your face with a cleanser such as Cetaphil every morning and night. After this, you may want to tone your skin, moisturize, or use an acne treatment. Do not get fake nails because it will wreck your natural nails. Keep your natural nails trimmed and filed, and always keep your cuticles pushed back. Moisturize your hands frequently. If you have ridges, buy a nail buffer and keep them buffed. You may choose to polish your nails, do something that you like, and if you want fake nails, go for it.
Let your hair grow out during the summer. After school gets out, get your hair trimmed and leave it that way. During the summer, experiment with different shampoos till you find the perfect one. Go to your local salon and ask what shampoo they would recommend for your hair. If you really want to change, commit to it. Ask the hair stylist which hair cut would be best for your face (or what would be recommended). If you want to color your hair, do that about a week before school starts. Spend some time working on your wardrobe. You want to get the basics, like a nice pair of dark wash jeans and a nice white t-shirt. Depending on your age, you might want to splurge on investment items, like a nice suit or a little black dress (think Audrey Hepburn a la Breakfast at Tiffany's) and some nice pearls. If you're a teen, just find jeans and a shirt and shop around for what you like. Stay true to what you like but try to be more daring! Look around for things that looks great on you - as a teenager, you can experiment. Get your eyebrows done professionally if they are difficult to manage, then pluck the stray ones yourself. If you don't want to spend a lot of money, just find your brow bone and follow that. You can find YouTube videos on how to pluck your eyebrows.
Do your make-up according to your skin type. If you have dry skin, you will want to stay away from mineralized makeup because it will dry you out. If you have "Normal" skin (a few breakouts break out usually once a month. Or maybe not), you can use basically any drugstore brand and not have it harm your gorgeous amazing skin. Oily skinned people will want to find foundations and powders that are oil free. Splurge on foundation, concealer, and powder because when you have amazing looking skin. It'll make the rest of your makeup look flawless. Everything else - just head to the drugstore unless you have a sensitivity to any product. Brush your teeth twice or three times daily. The night before school: Plan out what you will wear. Pull your hair up, and take a warm bath just washing your body and shaving your legs. Then go to sleep and sleep for about 10 hours. Relax on your first day of school. You have all year to make a good impression.
Tips:
* Put Vaseline on your eyelashes every night. It can replace mascara.
* Be confident!
* Stand up straight. Posture is a must.
* Wear lip balm like a god. Put it on morning and night, and whenever else necessary. It's recommended to use lip Med ex. It is made by Blistex.
* For under eye bags, cucumbers actually do work. Also, keep some spoons in freezer, and put them under your bags for a bit - that will help reduce.
* Smell good! Get some perfume. Orange pop by Calgone and American Eagle No.77 are both good choices.
* For makeup, go to your local department store and ask the lady at the makeup counter to do your makeup for free so you can figure out what looks best on you.
* Keep your SKIN clean. Wash it every day and night and put on moisturizer.
* Smile!
Be careful in the sun. Wear hats and sunglasses all the time, along with a strong sunblock.Eat healthy foods. Bad foods do not help anything with losing weight. Workouts can leave you really, really, sore if you do it too fast, too wrong, or just too hard! Work your way up - two pounds is the maximum recommended weight to lose in a week. Beware of anything you are allergic to. Don't buy expensive/inexpensive make-up until you check the ingredients to make sure that you are not allergic to any of them. Do not wash your face too often, it will dry out your skin.

How to Assist Children With Cultural Adjustment
0 comments Posted by Jane at Wednesday, May 20, 2009When moving overseas for a permanent or long-term country change, it can be difficult for children to adjust to cultural changes but ensuring that the move is a happy one is highly dependent on making a cultural adjustment successfully.
Always speak positively about the change. Children will quickly pick up from you that you find change exhilarating or terrifying. Make it easier on them by being positive about it. There is nothing wrong with making comparisons but do this in an educational way, not a "I wish things were like home" way. This will help the children to see the change as an adventure and something to be excited about.Be patient. Your new environment is not going to be your old environment and even restoring the family dynamics will take some time. Even if you get a new home and move in, it doesn't automatically bring back the lifestyle that you enjoyed in your previous country. If you can accept this, you will not be battling the feelings of nostalgia - embrace the nostalgia (for it will wash over you) but also be open to wonderful newness of all that is around you and look for all the positive elements of the new country and living arrangements. Encourage the children to look for all the good aspects as well and share your ideas together.
Pack a "ready-to-be-home" box. This should be the last box on the removal truck and the first one out. Have each child place a favorite toy, book, bed item and wall decoration in this box. Add any other elements that you feel say "our home" the moment that you put them on the wall or in the house somewhere. The moment your goods arrive, take this box and remove all the contents immediately. Each child can put their special home items in their rooms and you can decorate the remaining areas of the house. Although it will take a while for it to be your home, these little reminders of the last place together from your home country will ease some of the strangeness of it all.Learn about the new culture as quickly as possible. Be open to the new customs and traditions. Help your children to learn the new customs and do your best to have them observe these customs. It is important to explain differences in behaviour that might cause problems if the children behave in ways that are frowned upon. Make sure that they learn new rules that will help them in social contexts, such as using the correct hand to eat food or bringing gifts for special occasions. Some local customs may bother them too, such as children being patted on the head a lot; help them to understand that this is an expression of love for children but if it gets intolerable for a toddler, lift her up and carry her until she gets used to it.
Learn the language. If you are not in an English speaking country, it is important to immerse yourself in the new language as quickly as possible. This tends to be easier for children and there are many fun ways that they can begin to learn a new language - through reading children's books, TV, DVDs, visiting the park and making friends, attending shows and the cinema, joining hobby groups etc. Even if they attend an English-speaking school, they will still need the other language for outside school hours and to really gain an appreciation of their time in the new culture. It also broadens their employment opportunities as they grow older.Have faith in your children's own strength. Children tend to be more accepting and more resilient than adults about differences. They learn quickly, they adapt quickly and they find their own ways to cope with new ways of doing things. And it doesn't help to try and hide the harsher side of life from your children, such as poverty and homelessness; the children will eventually see it and for many who do notice it, they become very aware of the need to give, share and be of some help, especially when they see other children in distress.
Help them keep in touch with old friends. Send postcards, letters and e-mails to friends from home. This is a good opportunity to have the children explain their new life in a positive light to someone who doesn't know it - in the process, this often helps them to realize all the wonderful experiences that they are having. If possible, arrange a visit from your child's closest friend when you are settled in. And sometimes you will need to comfort the children when the friends taper off as does happen - it takes a lot of effort to keep in touch and as time moves on, ties don't always hold. Enjoy the transition as a family. Often living in a new culture is something that brings a family closer together, as you all adjust and seek reassurance from those who care about you most. This is a special experience that you may not have had if you had stayed in your own country; cherish the closeness and the shared journey of learning and support. Do things together that get you out of the house and discovering your new place together; share your fears, joys and concerns together and help one another make this transition gently.
Always join in the celebratory events of your new country. It helps give you a good perspective on what matters to the citizens of that country and it helps you to start understanding the character of the country better. Children love festivities and celebrations, so this will help them to enjoy their new life more too. Ask your children to invite their new friends to your new home. Treat new friends of your children as guests, as and when they visit your new home. If you can, learn about the new culture before you leave your old country. This will help the children know special issues in advance and it becomes a source of interest to discover the things that they have learned from books and the internet in real life when they arrive.

It is getting tough out there. Economy is hurting, everyone is getting lay off, business are closing. Recession is all over the globe. Do you want to get a better skill to make a better living. Do you want to develop ways to get through these economic times and be better on the other side? Jameson management can help you achieve your dream. Jameson management has the essential tools to continue to thrive during this economically stressful time.
Learn how to become a Dental Consultants at jameson management.
Make your life better in this tough economy, be a Dental Consultants . Get the better way to run your practice, visit jamesonmanagement.com on how to get started your career on dentistry. Find a local dentist in your area that offers all aspects of dentistry including cosmetic, general and family dentistry and get your career going.
Tooth decay can be quite painful, & constant trips to the dentist for fillings and root canals. Protect your pearly whites by reading this how-to!
Brush your teeth every morning. Eat a balanced diet - many vitamin and mineral deficiencies cause gum disease. Avoid eating high sugar and/or high acid foods (cookies, candy, soda) between meals. Be careful with diet soda, it may not have sugar but it certainly has a lot of acid which is just as bad! Remember that it's OK to eat those sweet treats at meal times! It's not how much you eat, it's how often your teeth are exposed to that abuse. Drink water after eating. Water returns the pH of your mouth to a neutral level so it can counteract the effects of acidic and sugary foods.
Brush and floss before bed. Look at it this way: Your mouth is going to be closed for the 8 straight hours, it's like an incubator for the bacteria making them grow like crazy.Get regular cleanings. You need to have your teeth cleaned every 6 months in order to preserve your teeth and the bone that supports your teeth. Going to the dentist for a cleaning can be a very pleasant experience, especially at a dental spa. If you are uncomfortable with your dentist, see the tips section below.See if you can find something healthy and nutritious that you can eat that will not affect your teeth in any way but keep them nice and healthy
Scope & Crest Pro-Health mouthwashes help to prevent new plaque buildup throughout the day. Listerine mouthwash not only prevents the buildup of new plaque, it is effective against deposits that are already there! Fluoride rinses, like Act, not only fight bacteria, they also strengthen your teeth and help minerals the parts that have already been hurt by acid. If you've got spaces between your teeth, look for "Proxy brushes" to use in addition to floss.Contrary to popular belief, tooth loss (of your adult teeth) is not a natural part of aging! There are plenty of 80+ year old patients with all of their teeth. And it's a lot easier to eat and talk with your natural teeth than it is with a denture. If your dentist doesn't make you comfortable, don't let that stop you from getting regular cleanings and check-ups. Talk to your dentist and let them know how you feel, chances are they simply couldn't sense it and that the problem may be easily fixed. Also, ask around and see who your friends go to - I guarantee that you know someone who feels that their dentist is the most gentle and caring person in the world!
Make sure you use a soft bristled toothbrush. If you don't, your gums could bleed very easily, and it could irritate your mouth. Move your brush up and down on each tooth or in a small circular motion on each tooth rather than simply horizontally across the teeth. Most tooth and gum disease doesn't hurt. Once you actually have a toothache, the tooth is almost beyond repair and there are very few options left for it. This is why it's so important to have regular check-ups and cleaning - without them, the disease progresses silently until you start losing teeth and end up with dentures.

Often, the inability to relax stems from a racing brain. Getting control of "mind chatter" is more than half the battle. Here's what I do.
1. Lie down somewhere where you are unobstructed (like the back of a couch squishing your arm to your body).
2. On your back, totally relax all of your muscles. Let your arms and legs sink into the surface beneath them.
3. Close your eyes and concentrate on your breathing. Regulate it with slow breaths in through your nose and hold for a second, then slowly exhale out of your mouth.
4. Listen to your "mind chatter" for a moment. Are there a billion things running around in there?
5. One by one, let your thoughts go. Tell yourself you can take up those thoughts later on.
6. Try to clear your mind, especially of negative "mind chatter" and concentrate on your breathing.
7. Bring up a thought that makes you feel relaxed, like floating on a lake on a warm summer's day with the sun beating down on you, a gentle breeze blowing across you.
8. Think to yourself that you are perfectly calm and relaxed, totally healthy and happy. Let your "mind chatter" focus on those thoughts and nothing else.
9. Continue the slow breathing... in through the nose, out through the mouth.
* It is hard to relax with "mind chatter". If your thoughts are racing in 100 directions, you can't relax. The key is to calm your thoughts. Your body will follow.
* When in the midst of a busy day, you can still do this. If you are sitting at your desk, take a minute and close your eyes. Do the slow breathing and repeat your thoughts that you are perfectly calm and relaxed. Picture yourself in that place where you were the most calm and relaxed.
* If you are having trouble keeping thoughts out of your mind, it may help to count your breaths. By focusing attention on your breathing, you become more aware of your body naturally. This may help it to calm down and settle into a slow rhythm.
* If you're tense and all worked up about how this might be yet another failure, it will not work. These things take time and practice. Give yourself the benefit of the doubt and try it for a few day
I know what you are thinking when I said "comfort". Not that kind of comforting I was talking about. Anyhow... have you ever been feeling so down? Feels like the whole world is turning back on you? That is how I am feeling while writing this post. I am not seeking for any attention or anything, I am just trying to get some pain inside me. Since I don't have anyone to talk to, everyone is so busy with their own world, have their own issues in life. So, I might as well use my blog to blow out my sadness inside. As I said on my post before I don't have any friend here in Seattle that I can really talk to when I am feeling down or got something bothering me. I have lost my friend ever since I moved over here . That is why, I wish I can turn the day around and change all the mistake I have made in my life. Being no one to talk to, I usually take my attention to my MP3 listening.
I know this is not healthy, they said... talking about what you feel is good for you. But what else I can do, but face the fact.. that I made so many damn mistake. I wish I can just.... just I wish. Life is too complicated. Again... I am not seeking any pity, just talking my heart out. Damn Life!! If you knew me inside out you will know what I am feeling.

he "con" in the phrase "con artist" is short for confidence. They earn your trust and before you know it, your life savings are gone with the wind. Since con artists are experts at gaining your confidence, how do you recognize one before you fall for one of their scams?
1. Ask how they got your name. If they cannot give you a good answer, they probably got it out of a phonebook, or through another one of their current victims.
2. Get it in writing. Con artists do not like putting their scams in writing, and might try to say they do not have time to do so.
3. Ask them to talk to your attorney, financial advisor, or accountant. A con artist will tell you they do not have the time, or they will take down the contact info and but never make contact at all.
4. Request references. Ask to speak with several people who have already completed transactions with this person and seen results. Search for the names and numbers in the phonebook or on the Internet to make sure they are real people. Do not accept testimonials as a substitute.
5. Ignore pressure to act immediately. A con artist will try to persuade you that you have to act right now or else you will miss your golden opportunity. However, if the good deal is not going to be available tomorrow, then it's not worth the risk.
6. Check if any complaints have been filed against this person.
* National Financial Fraud Exchange http://www.fraud.org/
* North American Securities Administrators Association http://www.nasaa.org/
7. Look out for red flags. If you've already entered a transaction with someone, keep an eye out for the following warning signs:
* Secrecy - Are you asked not to tell anyone?
* Cash only - Many (but not all) con artists do not like to be paid by check because it leaves a paper trail.
* Jackpot just around the corner - The con artist is stringing you along while he or she collects more money from you (e.g. "Any day now...). Your own denial might allow this procrastination to go on far longer than common sense would allow, because you do not want to face the possibility that you've been duped.
* Procrastination turns into intimidation - When your patience runs thin and you begin to question the con artist's credibility, you may end getting treated like a traitor, or even a fool. They might try to intimidate you so you will stick around until they can flee with the money. (E.g. "You're as guilty as I am in this.")
8. Know your own weaknesses. These are the characteristics and situations that con artists most often exploit:
* Loneliness
* Sense of charity
* Desperation regarding money (e.g. heavily indebted, business financial problems)
* Being unhappy with your life, and a tendency to look for a "quick fix"
* Falling in love (If a new romantic interest wants you to throw in your lot with theirs, get a second opinion! Ask your family and professionals for their advice.)
Common Scams:
Home improvement - repairs or improvements you do not need, bank - false bank examiner; the con artist asks the victim (usually an older widow) to test the honesty of employees by withdrawing substantial funds, which are given to the con artist for The victim is given a fake receipt and the con artist disappears with the - franchises, vending machines, land frauds, theft of inventions, securities investments, work-at-home, postal frauds - chain letters, magazine subscriptions, unordered merchandise, correspondence courses.
others: bait and switch, charity rackets, computer dating, debt consolidation, contracts, dance lessons, freezer plans, psychic fraud, fortune tellers, health clubs, job placement, lonely hearts, medical quackery, missing heirs, referral sales, talent scouts, pyramid schemes, fake officials. There are "short cons" and "long It's a long con that most people have to look out for because the con artist does a lot of talking, planning, and persuading.

Get celebrity pampering at an affordable price, and really relax and feel beautiful!
Celebrity Skin Care?
De-stress. Take a long bath using bath lotion or bath crystals. Use a loofah or body brush to exfoliate while you relax in the bath. If it helps, listen to chill out music and close your eyes. Give yourself a facial. Fill your sink with boiling water, put your face over the sink and then drape a towel over your head and the sink. Wait for 5-10 minis, and then splash cold water on your face to close pores. Then use a face mask. Put it on, put two slices of cucumbers over your eyes and lay back and relax. Give yourself a massage, or get a friend to. Use massage oil and start by massaging your neck and shoulders. Use circular motions and massage neck and shoulders for about ten minutes. Then move onto other parts of your body, and get a willing friend to massage your back for you. Give yourself a manicure and pedicure. File your fingernails, push back your cuticles and then apply a hot new color, or try a french manicure. For your pedicure, soak your feet in a bowl of warm water and lotion. Then, file your toenails and paint can put something astringent in the facial water, like a lemon slice .Eat well to detoxify your system. Try swapping sugary snacks for a fruit smoothie, and try healthy options for meals. Relax! That is the most important thing. Make sure you have a clean room with plenty of space to relax in. If you are careful and you have parental permission, light a few candles while you are in the bath.
If you listen to chill out music, does not put the CD player or whatever you are playing music on or near the bath. If it falls in you will get electrocuted and seriously hurt. Be careful if you light candles, and remember to blow them out when you leave the bathroom!
Having a hard time finding the perfect massage course for you? Doing your own due diligence work can save you a lot of time and money.
Why do you want to learn massage? There are many different motives for attending a massage course including 1) personal interest and personal development, 2) wanting to be able to help friends and family with minor aches and pains, 3) giving massages as a side job, 4) adding valuable skills to you own profession and 5) seeking a career as a massage therapist. Set up a budget. It may not make sense for you to attend a 3-year massage course for a lot of money if you are only learning so that you can massage your spouse. Determine which massage style you would like to learn: Decide whether you want to learn a hard massage style like Deep Tissue Massage or Rolfing or softer massage techniques such as Ayurvedic massage or lymph drainage, massage with accessories like hot stones, etc. Check books, magazines or on the Internet to learn about the major differences between these massage techniques. Shop around: Check on the Internet, yellow pages and local newspapers for massage courses being offered in your area. Ask around: Ask friends, family or colleagues if they know of any good massage courses in your area. Ask your local massage therapist where they learned massage. Contact different massage schools: Find out in advance about the contents of the course, their pricing and any other requirements for attending the course.
Contact the massage instructors: Speak to the instructors to see if the course is the right thing for you and what teaching method they use. Ask what the ratio of theory to practice usually is in the course. Check the credibility of the schools: Inquire as to how long the school has been in business, how many graduated students they have, the founder’s massage education and the qualifications of the instructors (how long did they study, how long have they been teaching, what is their educational background, etc.) Try to contact former students: There is nothing wrong with asking for references. Ask some of the school’s or instructor’s former students how they feel about the massage course.
A massage course can be offered by massage schools, massage institutes or just by individual massage therapists. Even though many countries have regulations on the amount of hours you need to study massage in order to get licensed (requirements can vary by state, county and even city in the U.S.) the content of the courses can often vary greatly.

Being classy is not about being stuck up; it is about having style and taking care to be polite to others and to reflect a genuine interest in them. It is also about being confident in yourself. Hope this will teach you how to move through life with class and ease.
Choose your battles; choose your friends. Few battles are truly worth fighting. Stand up for those who cannot stand up for themselves (mentally disabled, animals, children, etc). Be wary of those who appear to enjoy bickering. If someone is rude to you, either ignore them completely (recommended) or, once you have completely calmed down and are thinking clearly, explain how you perceived their actions and work towards a resolution. Never stoop to their level, and do not be hasty. Surround yourself with positive, polite people who encourage and live your classy, intelligent lifestyle. Choose your words. The classy individual listens more than he or she speaks. Having a strong vocabulary is important, but do not use a word unless you are certain of its meaning. Use words to express yourself lucidly. Importantly, do not correct others when they use improper grammar. Differences in background, family life, and education cause people to speak differently, and often people use slang for effect. More than this, it is irritating and degrading to be corrected by a know-it-all. Do not insult, gossip, or slander. When necessary, voice your opinions appropriately and constructively. This encourages your audience to listen carefully when you speak. Be independent. You must be courteous, but do not bend over backwards to please others. If you do, you may find yourself being taken advantage of in the future. Limit your time and availability and draw boundaries with others so that they are aware of your limits. Break the stereotype shackles. More often than not, using labels in any way, whether to identify yourself or others, shows a lack of creativity, lethargic social skills, and a lack of careful observation. Give everyone respect and the benefit of the doubt. Be assertive. Avoid passive-aggressive thinking; this is likely to trip you up eventually. Assertiveness demonstrates maturity, thoughtfulness, and confidence. Class requires balance, and assertiveness is a prime example of this concept.
Define yourself with a clean and elegant look. Excellent presentation is half of the battle. Wear clothing and accessories which flatter your body and never wear anything you feel uncomfortable in. #*It is important to remember that modesty is key in earning the respect of others. A bit of cleavage may be fashionable, but true gentlemen will appreciate modesty more than exposure. Avoid getting caught up in trends. There is nothing wrong with enjoying fashion or buying clothing you find attractive, but it is important to stay in control. Do not become a slave to fashion, or you may be regarded as foolish, "high maintenance", and/or shallow. The clothing you wear should enhance your personality, not create or alter it. This advice can be applied to many aspects of life in which you may feel pressured to "fit in." Know when to ask for help, but avoid desperate behavour. This is the kiss of death for the classy person. Only desperate times call for desperate measures. Take a deep breath, be strong, and move through the situation with elegance and grace. You will be the victor for it, no matter the outcome. If things get out of hand and you feel completely overwhelmed, as for help from a close friend or family member. Seek wisdom. As difficult as it can be to heed the advice of those more experienced than yourself, it is a necessary step at times. No matter your age or ability, allow yourself to learn from the mistakes and victories of those older or more experienced than you. You will win their favor and be available to pass on your own wisdom or advice.
Be open to personal development. Do not berate yourself, but be receptive to constructive change. In our world, change is inevitable. Be a positive and flexible part of it and show others the way as well. Face life rather than burying your head in the sand and others will know instinctively that you are someone whose opinion counts. Carefully consider tattoos and piercings. Let's face it: it is easy to judge by appearance. Therefore, take careful consideration when deciding if it is a good idea for you to get visible tattoos or body piercings. Even though a person’s outward appearance does not automatically show his or her inner qualities, appearances can reflect how a person is willing to be perceived by the world.Job opportunities may be limited by such an expression. Also keep in mind that although tattoos and piercings are expressions of individuality, they can be permanent or difficult (even costly) to remove. If you are in doubt about how a tattoo or piercing will impact you in the future, find another way to express yourself. Be knowledgeable and aware. It is wise to become politically, culturally, and religiously aware. Even the most basic knowledge can save a person from embarrassment and awkwardness. If you know in advance that you will be spending time with someone of an unfamiliar background, it is a good idea to do more in-depth research to avoid embarrassing faux pas.
Changing your behavior may feel unnatural. If it does, remind yourself that you are a work in progress. A classy person is simply one who consistently exhibits classy behavior. Focus on your behavior and attitude rather than your feelings. If you slip up, forgive yourself, apologize to anyone who may have been hurt by your not-so-classy behavior, and continue on your way. That's classy!
Animals are lovely creatures. However, sometimes we humans can feel we are more important. Then there are those of us who are completely "animal crazy". There are ways that even a mere individual can make a big difference by asking those who do have the power to make changes, to do so. And there are so many things you can do yourself too!

Ever wonder how certain people always look put together? It's because they're dressing fashionably and have their own sense of style! By following these steps, you can be on your way to having a fantastic, fashionable wardrobe.
Organize: Get out all your clothes and decide which ones you want and don't want. Throw out everything that you haven't worn in a year (that isn't seasonal), doesn't fit anymore or is plain ugly! Donate it all to a charity or a second hand store. Your trash could be someone else's treasure! Flatter: Look at yourself in the mirror and as objectively as possible, pick things about your physical appearance you like and dislike. What do you want to disguise? What do you want to emphasize? What's your body type? Style: What do you like? Do you want to incorporate trendy items into your wardrobe, or do you prefer a classic look? Spend time flipping through catalogs, or surfing websites that feature clothes. Do you even want to figure out a way to incorporate witty T-shirts, or is pleather more your style? There are tons of different pieces that will look phenomenal on you- what do you like?
Context: Where you live, where you go and what you do are major factors in dressing fashionably! If you wear a ballgown to the office that's not fashionable; if you wear a business suit to the prom, likewise. Think about what kind of clothing is appropriate for the things you're going to be doing. Shop: The best thing to do is to buy long-lasting pieces that will retain their class throughout seasons. Fashion changes extremely quickly! Don't fill your wardrobe with things that won't be appropriate the same time next year, and don't spend a lot of money on fashion items. Think about step 4 again. What kinds of coats, jackets or sweaters do you need? Put this kind of information in the context of what flatters your body. Shop more: Now that you've got the basics, it's time to have fun! Buy some great shoes, cute accessories and get a haircut! No need to go classic here unless that's your taste- handbags, shoes and jewelry is the place to show your sassy side. Bright purple pleather trench looks too tacky? A handbag in the same style will be fantastic.
Flick through magazines and find a style icon you can be inspired by. Stars need to always look good as they are constantly followed! Some good choices are people like Mischa Barton, Kate Moss and Audrey Hepburn. Try places like bargain stores and emporiums for jewelry; they have great stuff for great prices! Go shopping with an honest friend! Nothing is more valuable in your quest for a fashionable wardrobe than someone who will tell you when you look stupid. Make-up is the thing that pulls it all together. Don't look fake, but polished. You can make a huge stride towards being more pulled-together by just applying foundation, blush (or bronzer) and lip gloss.Be you! If you like something but someone else doesn't, don't fret. They have no right to say what you can and can't like. Remember your honest friend, though. There's a difference between something that fits you horribly and something that's just a difference in style. Ask friends for style advice and for their style perspective. Confidence is key. If you don't have confidence, nobody will admire your look. You have to believe in yourself, then everybody else will too.
Don't ever wear something that doesn't make you feel beautiful. If you feel uncomfortable, everyone can see that. Being fashionable is being confident.Do NOT try to co-ordinate your makeup to your outfit. It sounds like a good idea, but it's not. EX: pink shirt, pink makeup. Instead, try choosing makeup which compliments your eye color. For example a soft green with brown eyes. Clothes do not look cooler the more you show your skin. It's fine to show some skin, but clothes do not have to have plunging v-neck necklines or be midriff bearing to be attractive. Leave something to the imagination.

Ever felt groggy and disgusting, tired and overwhelmed? Well now you don't have to. This article will go through ways to refresh yourself to keep yourself from being in that horrible dirty state.
Think: Why do I feel unrefreshed? Is it because I am dirty, or is it because I am tired? Is it because I haven't accomplished anything? There are a number of reasons to feel unrefreshed. If you can, try to put your finger on what YOUR reason is. One thing that really helps is to get clean. Even if you feel exhausted, drag yourself out of bed, and just get into the shower. I say shower because often times a bath can get you feeling more and more lazy and that may lead to sucumbing to grogginess. While in the shower, wash your hair. Shampoo and conditioner in one is preferable, because you get the same impact, but it takes less effort. Scrub with soap and if you have them, lotions or shower gel.On getting out of the shower, wrap one towel around your torso, and take another to dry your hair. Don't wait too long before combing your hair, because this step is easiest when your hair is freshly conditioned. After combing your hair, brush your teeth. This should take at least a minute. Get dressed. Pick out a comfy outfit that looks nice. If you feel like it, put on some jewelry or lip balm. This can help you to feel further refreshed. If you have Q-tips, get one. It is good to use Q-tips after a bath or shower because your ears are damp.
Once your hair is dry, decide weather you want to keep it down, or put it up. If you choose to put it up, I suggest making a high, tight ponytail. This gets your hair out of the way and also looks really neat. You can also use a headband if you like. Now that you've tackled the dilemma of getting physically refreshed, it's time to get mentally refreshed. If you choose to, clean your room. If it is very messy I would say to leave it for later on the day because cleaning it could lead to frustration. Do you have any homework? If so, tackle it. You should be in a good mood, and should feel mentally ready to get to any tasks that need doing. If your homework is finished, try getting to other odd jobs around the house. This does not have to mean cleaning. If you have a scrapbook, work on it. If you're a dancer, choreograph.Have a nice, refreshing day!
Going outside for a short walk can help you to feel refreshed.Consider making yourself a nice healthy snack.
Ever wonder how to make your hair sleek, smooth and straight but also with volume? It's actually quite simple. Follow these short tips! Works from thick hair to thin hair, any length.
1. Wash your hair. Use a shampoo that smells really good and that will work well for your hair during the process (preferably Herbal Essences). Use a conditioner that's voluming. You can also use 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner for this. If you have thick hair, use a handful of conditioner. If you have thin hair, use a little less. When finished showering, rinse your hair with cold water for a minute or so. (After washing your hair, rinsing it with cool water adds shine and reduces frizz. )
2. Apply a quarter-size amount of thick anti-frizz serum to your damp towel-dried hair to keep your strands smooth. Rub the serum over your hands, then run your fingers through your hair from roots to ends.
3. Dry your hair. Do basic hair drying with a with a round barrel brush. Blow-dry hair on high heat starting with a three-inch-wide section in front. Use a round brush with holes in it so the heat can reach all your strands. Aim the dryer directly at the round brush, first from above and then from below. Spray the roots with a root booster or volumizer. Also spray the hair with a heat protector spray.
4. Section hair in 1-1 1/2 inch sections. Clip up excess hair. Start with the comb at the root of the hair in the section you want to flat iron, then pull the comb through the hair followed by the flat iron. While the hair is still hot from the iron, take your round brush and brush from the root to the end creating volume and body in the hair. You can brush it straight or turn your hand while brushing to create a slight wave. Repeat with each section. You might want to use a larger barrel brush, but not too large.
5. Spray your hair with a light hold hairspray. Let it cool. Flip head upside down and finger comb through the hair. Use a small amount of smoothing serum to smooth an excess frizz.
Tips:
* To add more bounce and volume: Roll each section under a Velcro roller after blow-drying it (while it's still warm). As you dry the rest of your hair, this will prevent it from getting messy and blown around. Velcro rollers add body and bounce.
* Use a ceramic flat iron to avoid damage to your hair.
* Be patient. You may not get it right the first time. It takes practice.
* Bobby Pins work great to pin up hair away from your face.
* For a personal feminine touch, add a few spritzes of perfume to your hair while you brush it dry. That way it will smell great all day.
Keep in mind if you have extremely thick hair, this process takes up to a hour or so. This can be time consuming, but with all hair styles it can be.= Don't hold your straightener on damp hair - it can burn it!

You find yourself falling short of your desire or you don't even come one step closer to what you tried to achieve. You lose any inspirational thoughts you once had and sink back to where you came from. You will learn how to use fear to create action on any goal you want.
Choose what goal you want. What do you want to achieve? Ask yourself, what will happen if you don't achieve this. Are you sick of arguing with your partner or friends and you want to have more intimate relationships? Is it that you're tired of worrying about being able to put food on the table, provide clothing, and shelter? Are you embarrassed by how those additional pounds make you look?Understand that reaching your goal is entirely dependent on your internal emotions. Reading self improvement information temporarily effects these emotions and puts you in the same situation after a short period of time. Retrieve that internal fear and make it strong whenever you do not take action on your goal to fuel action. Using the financial example: you are struggling to create and provide the necessities. Use your fear that one day you will be unable to provide, or that for once in your life you want to give without worrying about the financial burden. This is the fear you use when you don't take action.
Every time you feel you don't want to do something, think of what bad results may happen if you don't take action. Try getting a friend or relative to punish you in a way if you don't get your goal.

We celebrate Mothers Day once a year to show our mothers that we appreciate them and love them all year round. However on this one special day, set aside just for 'Mothers' treat your mom to a special breakfast, prepared by you, and only for her!
Plan the menu a week in advance. Buy the special breakfast the day before. If you cannot drive, ask someone to take you food shopping. Prepare a breakfast that is easy for you to make. Do not make an elaborate breakfast, that might take a long time to prepare and then cook, and then clean up after wards.Make one of her 'favorite' foods. Prepare something that she might even have eaten for lunch many times. Do not make something new because she might not like it, and it would spoil your surprise and her enjoyment. Prepare Bagels & Lox, with some herring on the side, as this is usually served for a Sunday breakfast, or brunch. Add a glass of Orange Juice and a cup of coffee for an easy to make and clean up and delicious breakfast. Be creative, Make her pancakes, and dress them up so they look really pretty, as well as delicious. Top them with strawberries, place them nicely on the plate. Mother will love your strawberry pancakes, and might even give you a bite to taste. Serve it with a half of grapefruit, and a cup of coffee and she will certainly appreciate it. Make sure to get up earlier than your mother. If she gets up before you do, your plan is going down the drain. Also make sure you get up early enough so that you can make the meal without having to worry about the time.
Clean the kitchen the night before so that you it will be clean for you in the morning. Make a list of all the ingredients you need, and make sure you can grab them easily, without having to search for them. Set the table nicely, and make sure you have the silverware needed, and the condiments for the meal. Bacon, scrambled eggs sounds like a great breakfast, served with buttered toast, juice and coffee. Find all the recipes the night before and make sure you that you have all the ingredients on hand, and have them ready to go. If you are not used to cooking often, cook just one or two items instead of an entire menu. Think about making some coffee. If your mom takes milk with her coffee, you might like to have a special flavored creamer on hand. Sit with her so she doesn't have to eat alone, or put on the TV or hand her the paper. Clean up after her. Scrub the pots and pans that you used, put the silverware and plates in the dishwasher, and clean her coffee pot.
Be quiet and walk silently! You don't want to wake your mom up!If you have a nice tray, you might want to serve her breakfast in bed. Be sure to serve some juice and coffee or tea. If you really want to make your mom happy, do all the chores that she does, so that she doesn't have to do it.

Cats have always been a symbol of magic, independence, mystery and femininity. A cat-like, sophisticated, cute girl is an ideal for many guys, but that's not the main point - in fact, behaving oneself like a cat can be fun. It can even become a way of life - try and see if you will enjoy it.
Act independent. Remember: cats always walk on their own. Your interests come first in any case. Don't be friends with someone just because he or she is popular. Don't let anyone use you. Cats never care about others' opinion. Act random. No one should be sure of what you are going do or say next. You are always a preppy girl? Well, try something more punk. Have a weird idea in your head? Try it (if it's not too weird). But do it with style. Go light on the makeup or don't wear any at all! A little smidge of eyeliner, some pink or peach gloss, and blush are all you need to be adorable! Fix your hair. Make sure your hair is always sleek and shiny. If you want, straighten it or out it in a ponytail. IF you cut it short in a choppy bob, that's cute too. Pick a cute frame if you wear glasses, Like oval or cat's eye frames. These are particularly cat-like and very cute. Be graceful. Take up gymnastics or dance, and learn to move with grace and agility.Take frequent naps. It's good for you, and cats do it so.
Don't go overboard.Be playful, like a kitty.don't eat raw fish, unless it's sushi. Don't push your cat lifestyle on others. This will NOT make you an actual cat.

Being a cool mom doesn't mean to set your kids free without boundaries, but it is important to give your kids room to move and learn things for themselves. This will help you to enjoy parenting and help your children to enjoy being raised. It's a win-win situation.
Let them speak, try to understand them and listen to them. Let's say your kid got a boyfriend or girlfriend. Try to face it well and make sure you talk to your kid about it and motivate them with it. But of course, make sure to tell your kid not to trust all people of the opposite sex. Sometimes let them throw a party, when you think that's all right, but tell them that's on condition that they don't do anything that you wouldn't like, as doing drugs, drinking alcohol or sex.Make sure they know that they can speak up and give their opinions about your family life, but not to control YOUR life. For example: let them know if you have met someone interesting. You could raise their allowance when they do something you think they deserve. Give your kids a break, don't stress them with too much pressure about anything . But sometimes talk to them about school and others of his responsibilities, and make sure you show that you really believe in your kid's potential.
Always give affection, such as a kiss or a warm hug, but try to not suffocate them. Try to comfort your kids in the best way when they have a problem, show that you're there to help and try to know their problems and don't get upset in any case, but try to help in the nicest, most responsible and fairest way as possible. Learn to listen to your kids. Ask your kids about what makes them embarrassed, so you could make a list of things that you should avoid to do to don't make your kid embarrassed in front of others. Make suggestions, and don't demand that they do something. I.e., "Ugh. your room is really REALLY messy today. Would it harm anyone just to create a path of little resistance on the floor?" is better than, "Clean up your room now or you're grounded."don't let the only time you speak to your kids the time when you yell at them because that is the person they will always remember you as. inspire them! Never, ever say in response to a reported bullying "Just ignore them". This never helps!
Be a good listener. Try to be always calm and nice, but still be firm and put authority without being aggressive. Give your kids a chance and don't stress them. But make sure you show them what's right to do, but let them speak up and give their opinion. Sometimes, have a peaceful conversation with your kids and try to solve any problem. Like, if someone is doing something the other person doesn't like it. Make sure you have a conversation with them, so you and your kids can come up with good ideas to make your life better and more peaceful. in their teens use good judgment but also have a little faith and trust them, give them some freedom. they are good kids, you raised them so,they should be! always cook a separate dish for your rebellious vegan kid so she has something to eat at dinner. The word is cool, so be cool in the sense like don't freak out or panic or jump the gun
Let them have freedom in moderation, set limits to them, but don't be over protective sure their your kids but they aren't babies you need to let them make their own mistakes. If you have any argument with your kid, try to play it cool, understand his side and don't scream.Just calm down. Try not to do what you wouldn't like your kids to do. Like, going out with someone and coming back home too late. Your kids will think that's unfair and will do that.Try to make any rule you set to them, be a little of yours. Think of your kids. set rules and stick to them, consistency is key! if hes grounded for a weekend really make sure that your point gets across or else they will know you don't mean business.
