Most of us search for ways to tone up our abdominal area. However, a lot of us can't or don't want to do basic sit ups, for various reasons. Here are a few alternative exercises that are very effective in tightening the abdominal area.

Use your furniture. Simply sit up straight on an ottoman and hook your toes underneath a chair in your living room. Lie straight back across the ottoman. Then, slowly bring yourself back up to a sitting position. Do as many repetitions as you think you can. Lie on your bed . Lie back, place your arms to your sides, and lift your legs (keeping both legs together) in a pointing straight up position. Then slowly bring them down. When your legs are about 2-3 inches from the bed, hold them there for 1-2 minutes. Then lower the legs and relax. Do as many reps as you can. Note: If you have problems sleeping, it is not recommended to use your bed for activities other than sleep. See How to Fall Asleep for details.Do scissor cuts. Keeping your legs and arms in the same position on the bed, lift your legs and cross one over the other. Just work at your own pace and do what you feel you can. Multitask. While cleaning up the kitchen or doing chores, try to remember to tighten your stomach muscles and then let them relax.

This tip works great for your rear-end, as well. Add a little bending and stretching into your daily activities whenever you can.Climb stairs. This can be great for your stomach, as well as other parts of your body. If you'd like, you could buy or have someone make a step-master for you.Eat a high-fiber diet, with healthy and moderate amounts of food. This will help to keep your body in good condition, and make it receptive to workouts. A small amount of apple cider vinegar added to a cup of prune juice may be good to try. Exercise when you can. Use a bike or exercise bike regularly--it will help to tighten your abdominal area and improve your overall health.Stand up while doing the sit up motion. Be sure to keep your back straight and maintain your posture. Alternate your angle of attack to work different muscles, even going so far as to do the sit up backwards.

Stay faithful to whatever route you take.Any exercise is better than none at all.
Some of the exercises listed are easier on a person's back than the traditional sit-up.Having an exercise bike can help you to exercise even when the weather is not nice outside.Be sure to record your exercise activity. It's highly recommended that you use a calendar with large spaces to write in. Keep it hanging in the room where you have your exercise equipment or where you exercise. When recording exercise activities, use abbreviations, such as "EB" for exercise bike.Save your calendars. This way, you can look back, from year to year, to see how long that you stuck with it. Hopefully, you will be amazed with yourself and very pleased.
If sit-ups are too hard for you and you start to feel serious pain after doing sit-ups, do some crunches instead. (a crunch is not as effective as a sit-up though)

Don't be too hard on yourself. You'll enjoy exercising more if you don't drive yourself into the ground. Don't set unrealistic goals for yourself, such as trying to look like a certain celebrity or supermodel. Sit Ups are not the best exercise for persons who want to lose belly fat.Breathing procedures are always taken complacently by people as they do not see any direct and immediate impacts happening. It is not so, and deserves attention. Dress worn during the exercise should be light and should not hinder your activity. Short trousers and shoes can be useful for comfort levels but it is up to the person’s wish with his mode of exercising.

Glasses are awesome fashion accessories, but sometimes people will make fun of you for wearing them. Here's how to stay cool.

Choose Eye Glasses. If your mom/dad has recommended something for you, don't be so fast to blow it off. Just because your parents like it, doesn't make it an instant "no". After all, they're the ones who can see them.Pick glasses that reflect your personality. Unique colors can look great on girls, while boys might look better in black glasses or rimless. Don't act any different because you have glasses. You're you, that's that.
Learn to like your glasses. A typical stereotype is "Girl/Boy with glasses is a geek". Ignore it. Glasses are so you can see clearly. They don't label you. Keep that in mind.Keep them in the best possible condition. Clean Your Glasses. Be careful not to drop them, get the frame or lenses scratched, and make sure you keep them clean, clean, CLEAN. Wash them daily, water will work perfectly if you're not sure about cleaners. Get a cool case to put your glasses in.

Don't let what anyone says bother you. If someone calls you a name or makes fun of you, brush it off. Who cares, right? If you look and feel great, they're obviously trying to hurt you in general, not just because you wear glasses.
Pick out glasses that go with almost everything. You don't want to wear a purple and white outfit with mustard yellow glasses, do you?
If you really dislike the way you look in your glasses, consider contacts. Remember they are harder to keep track of, though.
Try black glasses. They go with practicaly every outfit!
If you are a guy go with a thick, masculine frame but not too thick it will look clunky. Just so they do not look flimsy.

AND, even if someone says you look good in glasses they pick for you, don't get them if you don't want them. The point is to get something you feel comfortable in, and be content with.Although glasses make you look smart (as people say), you shouldn't act like a know-it-all. Even if it's seemingly a stupid thing to say, people get in the act.
Some people are just plain rude. There is nothing you can do about these people. Who cares what they say? If they're harshly bashing you just because you wear glasses, take a look at them. Make sure you don't put your glasses in places where they can get damaged ( the sofa)-chances are someone will sit on them or you wont be able to find them for a while.

Today was my son's turn to go to the Dentist. His appointment was at 2:30 today, we got at the dentist office 30 minutes before his appointment so we have to wait for 30 minutes before he get to see the dentist. Anywho, when the assistant called my son, I was able to go back with him in the room, because they only had to do some check up and ex ray. I waited at the waiting room for 15 minutes, it was not that long. The dentist came out and talk to me about my son's teeth, he told me that Justin have some very healthy and straight teeth, so that was a great news, he did not need any braces at this moment.

After the dentist we were off to Costco and did some grocery shopping, we enjoy strolling around Costco and taste most of the sample that they were trying to sale. I got stuff up. We bought watermelon, roles, granola bar and much more. Sometimes if you don't watch what you are putting on your shopping cart , that $200.00 is gonna go that fast.It was a great day, my son and I enjoyed spending time together, since my daughter had a play date today.

How's your friday folks? I got up this morning felt so lazy, I felt like I wanna stay in bed all day long but I know I cannot do that for I have two children to take care off. The other day was my daughter's dentist appointment, today is my son's turn. We'll see what would the dentist will say.

Well, I will see you guys later, I will be blog hopping later. I will have to get ready and drop off my daughter to her friends house and off to the dentist.

Instead of going online and downloading desktops or just using the ones that come with your computer, here's a way to make your own unique one for any occasion or holiday, or just for your normal backround. It looks great, and is really easy to make. The only drawback is that sometimes desktop icons are hard to see, but if you use the right colors, it is easy to overcome that obstacle.

Open Paint (or any equivalent to Paint). Open the Internet, to a search engine with a good Image Search. Type in the Image search box what you're looking for, for instance, "Christmas" or "Summer" or "Pumpkins". Copy and paste the pictures onto Paint in a creative collage of colors, pictures, words, and drawings that symbolize the holiday, occasion, etc. that you are making the desktop backround for. This can include filling in green in the empty spaces between pictures for St. Patrick's Day, or typing in "Happy Hanukah" in the middle of your Hanukah collage.

Be creative! Don't forget to add in your favorite holiday movie, or the lyrics to your current favorite song. This is yours and yours alone! You can even copy and paste your own pictures from a picture file on your computer. Save the collage on your computer. Go to the File menu, and select "Set as backround" for either tile or center (this requires personal preference). If you would like your new backround to be in the "Stretch" position, right-click on your desktop where there are no icons and select "Properties". At the top of the window, click on the "Desktop" tab. Click the drop-down arrow under "Position" and select "Stretch.". Voila! Enjoy your brand-new, all-you desktop backround!

If you are not familiar with where your desktop icons are located on your desktop, it would be best to not fill the spaces in with color, or fill them in with very pale colors, and choose only pictures and font colors that are lighter colors, so it will be easy to find your shortcuts on your desktop. If you make many backrounds, it might be a good idea to create a special "Desktop Backround" file. That can be done by right-clicking on your desktop where there are no icons and putting the cursor over "New". Select "Folder" and name it "Desktop Backrounds" or something of that sort. Whenever you make a new collage for your backround, save it in that file.

Last night I got a text from my older sister penny telling that she needs to talk to me about our mom. You see, my mom has been so sick, she got type 1 diabetes and heart problem. according to my sister, my Mom has not been feeling so good in a few days, end up her sugar was so high, which is 375 ( I wonder what she ate to make her sick like that) and also her blood pressure is up.

I had been talking to my sister and my dad often on today, see what was going on. They told me that they have to take my mom to the hospital. And so they did, my mom is under specialist care right at this moment. Hopefully they will settle her down. I am so worried, sometimes it's pissing me off because I cannot be there personally to see what is going on. One more thing the cell phone reception kind of suck at time. Either they cannot hear me or I cannot hear them. As of now , I am waiting for an update about my mom's health. Hopefully everything will be okay. That is what I am telling my self at least.

The first time I'd sign up through richptc, I admit I was so excited. I'd put their banner on my blogs. Hoping that I will get some referral and earn from it. Yeah, a lot of friend blogger sign up under me. And my supposed to be earning was growing so quick. I did reached my minimum dollar for me to withdraw. As the RICHPTC say I have to wait 60 days to be paid. I withdrawn $1000.00 in June 2nd, 60 days had come and gone, still no payment. I am very disappointed to be honest, thinking about taking some legal step to make them stop advertising .

What I am trying to say is... I am deeply truly sorry to all the blogger friends who have sign up under me at RichPTC. As I did my own research, found out one complained to another. Some say, they got paid $15.00 instead of $1000.00. I was pissed and still am. But stressing myself would not do me any good (Puputi lang buhok ko). But I am seriously apologizing about all this guys. I hope you all will accept my apology.

The picture above was taken a few years back.As you can see my hair was very short. This place called Leavenworth. The Leavenworth, Washington area is uniquely located on the east side of the Cascade Mountain Range at the confluence of the Wenatchee and Icicle Rivers, at the east entrance to Tumwater Canyon. Wenatchi Indians, known for their extensive salmon fishery, were early inhabitants.Leavenworth’s surrounding natural beauty and vast outdoor recreation opportunities endured as its greatest asset. Community leaders developed a plan in 1965 to revitalize Leavenworth as a themed “Bavarian Village”, modeled after alpine German villages. The concept was successfully implemented, and today Leavenworth has emerged as a premier tourist destination.
Festivals, Parades, Shopping.

Downtown Leavenworth, the “heart” of the Bavarian Village, boasts an extensive selection of shops and restaurants, all dedicated to the alpine theme. Most everything is within walking distance, and there are many interesting things to see and do.

The Bavarian Village is known for its festivals, parades, and special events, such as Maifest, Autumn Leaf Festival, Oktoberfest, and Christmas Lighting to name a few. Information about those and other activities can be found on the Links page under “Leavenworth and the Bavarian Village“.

We often feel sadness over occurrences in our lives that we have no control over. Perhaps a best friend moves away, or maybe we experience the loss of a family member. Not all of us know how to express our feelings. Some cannot talk it over with parents, and some just think that hurting themselves is the only way to express their inner feelings. There are other ways for us to express our grief.

First of all, know that crying is not a sign of weakness. Let out your tears! Bottled up emotions lead to more emotional breakdowns in the future. Crying not only cleanses the eyes, but washes the pain away. (Note: This is a metaphor. Crying does not literally wash away pain.) Keep a diary. Each time you're feeling down in the dumps, write a journal entry about it. When you're feeling better you can look back at the entry and think, "How did this pain make me stronger?".

Find someone to talk to. Find someone you trust. If you feel comfortable talking to them and if they can listen to you, understand your pain, then they are the right person for you to turn to. Try to get to the source of the sadness. Is it due to a person in particular? If so, avoid that person. If one person is the source for your depression, then it's not worth talking to him or her. Work through the reasons that provoke your crying. If you are jealous of someone, try to figure out if this reaction is really worth feeling sad about.
Allow time to grieve. If sadness is due to the death of someone close to you, then it may take a bit longer for the sadness to pass. It is healthy to feel sad at the loss of a loved one so understand this and take one day at a time. Crying is perfectly normal at a time like this. Talking about it and expressing your feelings will also help. Use art to free some of your pain. It can be a poem, a song or a painting that describes what you're feeling and going through. Muster the courage to feel what actually exists inside you; the courage of an open heart. If your sadness is related to a family member passing away, do not forget them, but keep memories of them [pictures, home videos, favorite songs, etc.].

If you feel that the only way you can get relief from your pain is by hurting yourself, try following the above suggestions. Try talking to a parent or best friend and maybe then you'll feel relieved. You should write an entry into your journal daily, even if the sadness is less. This way you can get a handle on your feelings and thoughts before you get very sad again.Crying sometimes helps. You sometimes feel better after a good cry. Just keep your chin up!

This article is mainly aimed towards sadness! If you are angry, there are other solutions. Be mindful of those around you while venting (listening to loud music, striking an object, et cetera). You don't want to accidentally take your anger out on an innocent bystander.

I am so honor to accept this award from sir David of Basic Bloganomics . Once more, thank you David for passing me this award and I am honored I am one of many blogger friend you have here. Also Imelda of My daily thoughts and Moods passed me this award as well. And I would like to thank her as well. I appreciate all the friendships.

Here's the rule:

1. Copy the loyal picture above
2. Pass it to you think who is/are deserving.
3. Leave a message to them
4. Pass as many as you want.
5. Message back or leave a comment to the owner.

I will be breaking one of the rules for this award. I would want to open this to all blogger who never stop visiting my blogs and being a friend when I feel in need specially on a tough time.

I was about to bloghop through EC, when their server went dowm, here is the message that I keep on seeing:

Entrecard application server failed

Our hosting provider has managed to partition their network so that our application server and our database server can no longer talk to each other. I am trying to get hold of someone who understands the word "network" so that I can get this resolved.

Darn, hop it will be fix soon, I just want to dropped on my blogger friends entrecard. For the meantime, I just use to old way hop.

Sexy, not skanky, is the key. Play up only 1 feature at a time, for example if you are wearing a miniskirt wear a shirt with more coverage or with a sweater overtop, and if you are wearing a more revealing shirt, opt for jeans. Showing too much skin can make you look skanky.

The same goes for makeup, play up one feature at a time. For example, if you want fire-engine red lips, go for minimal cheek, eye, and face makeup. People also often forget that the skin counts as a feature too. I would say that playing it up, for example overloading on blush and piling on foundation is not the smartest choice. Makeup enhances features. It doesn't create new ones or hides ones entirely. Wear as little makeup as you need to define and cover little flaws (such as darkness under eyes or blemishes). How you act has effect on how your perceived too, avoid being the big flirt, or what you wear will have nothing to do with it.. Wear clothing that FITS and FLATTERS your body. That may mean that if you do not like your legs not wearing miniskirts, it will probaly look better and make you feel a lot less insecure. Also, wear the right size for your body, for example, a size 8 looks better when wearing a size 8 than a size 6 who tries to fit into a size four. Clothing that fits and makes you comfortable makes you confident.
Be confident! It might mean splurging on highlights and designer clothes or wearing adorable shoes but if it makes you feel amazing, its worth it!

Try moisturizer, bronzer, eyeliner, hair colouring, and foundation. They cost a lot but what you get in free drinks more than makes up for it. Look for application tips in magazines.if your comfortable with yourself, you won't need to dress like everyone else to feel comfortable, be your own person, dress the way you want to. Wash your face before you go to sleep and when you wake up. Try a face wash that has "bursting beads" or "cooling sensation" to wake your skin up and give it a healthy glow.

If you're dressing slutty to attract guys, it will work because that's how guys are programmed. Try to attract a guy for you, not the way you dress.
Avoid showing your bra, it's not cute, just tacky. No one wants to see you adjust it all day. if your wearing low pants, please get a belt. It's not cute on the plumber and it's not cute on you. if you worry about being judged, look at yourself and ask yourself: does this outfit make me look slutty?.Most guys dont like to taste your foundation when they kiss you. Thus, be careful when applying makeup. You don't have to pile it on to look pretty.

You do not have to starve yourself to loose weight; in fact, you should. not Check out this article for some tips on how to diet, control your metabolism, and lose the right amount of weight in a short period of time, the healthy way.

Instead of the traditional 3 meals a day, eat 5 to 6 smaller meals a day. Avoid chocolate, cake, brownies, potato chips, ice cream, or any junk food. Never starve yourself. It shuts down your metabolism, makes you feel woozy, tired, and makes you hungrier. It also can affect your teeth, causing them to be sticky and full of plaque. Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables, especially if you feel like snacking or for dessert. Aim to eat 'good carbs' (which have a low glycemic index) such as brown rice, oats, wholewheat bread and wholewheat pasta. Try not to have carbs after 5pm as any unused carbs will likely be stored as fat overnight, negating your morning bike session.

Do not forget about exercising! When trying to loose weight, some people can get so wrapped up in cutting calories and portion sizes that they forget about the importance of exercise. If it's hard to start an exercise routine, use Monday as the day to recommit. Take part in a Monday Mile, enroll in a fitness class, or make a schedule to exercise for the week. Healthy Monday is a national non-profit public health campaign that encourages people to use Monday as the day for all things healthy. Consider using "High Intensity Interval Training". Maintain a steady intake of protein - aim for a minimum of 'your body weight in pounds' (in grams) of protein - if you would like to build a bit of muscle, double that, and begin some weight training - this will supercharges your metabolism and greatly increase your body's fat-burning ability. Go on the exercise bike for 20 minutes and on the treadmill for a half hour daily. Morning is the best time, because it burns your calories, but do it after breakfast.

Alternately, go on the bike immediately after waking up, as you have had no food in your system all night, and therefore the first place your body will gets energy from is the fat stores (not the muscles because you are using them) - bare in mind that after the bike, wait about 20 Min's and eat a solid breakfast so your body knows you are not starving (this will be detrimental to the cause). Wake up at a normal hour likes 7:00, or 8:00 or 9:00 if you are pushing it. Go to bed before midnight--your body needs at least eight hours of sleep to function the right way. Eat breakfast each morning. Eating something in the morning gets your metabolism going and prevents you from binge eating later in the day. Drink plenty of water, and cut down on carbonated beverages, particularly those with a lot of sugar. Try not to drink any soda.

Try not to eat at fast food restaurants, as their food is full of fat and calories. Subway does have some healthy options. However, if you do choose fast food, stick to the healthier end of the menu (Most places are adding a variety of salad and fruit options to their menus!) If you think you are going to have a hard time staying on your diet, ask a friend to go on it with you for support. Get your whole family involved, because if the family doesn't change their eating, you will have difficult times avoiding those sweets etc. You burn calories before you burn fat. So it is better to have a higher calorie snack then a high fat snack. A lot of junk food comes in reduced fat by whatever percent, or low fat, low calorie, or smaller portions. Try to only eat 2 items of "healthier" junk food a week such as crispy Minnie's and low fat cookies. Remember that 1 pound of fat is 3500 calories. However, one ice cream cone and 2 tbsp of peanut butter is 500 calories.

Keep the veggies near the front of the fridge. That way, when you open the fridge, you see the veggies first. Do not drink any beverage that has the plenty of sugar in it. Always drink water, it's good for you. Try not to eat after 8:00. If you get hungry, snack on fruits or vegetables. Remember not to eat anything right before bed because whatever food you eat stores in your body as fat. If you change everything immediately, you are going to crave things and over eat. Do this in a slow process. Do not try to drop weight quickly. Your body resists quick weight loss and tries to retain its stored fat. Trick your body into losing the weight by doing it gradually. Conception dates can be confusing to estimate with or without known Last Menstrual Period dates.

Conception is typically calculated using the first day of a woman's last menstrual period(LMP). This can be confusing often times due to not knowing LMP or having a 'period' after conceiving. Often times, a woman will spot or have a light period shortly after conceiving. This is typically due to the embryo attaching to the uterus which causes bleeding. This is often mistaken as a light or spotty period. Often times a conception date will be estimated based upon LMP, then confirmed with the first sonogram which shows fetal growth. This measurement is typically given in Gestational Age (age since LMP) versus Fetal Age (age since conception). There is typically 2 weeks difference in Gestational versus Fetal age (i.e. 7 weeks gestation, 5 weeks fetal age). Gestational age should always be larger than fetal age.Combined with LMP information, an accurate conception and due date can be given. Sonogram readings have a margin of error. At 8 weeks +- up to 6 days, at 20 weeks +- up to 10 days, beyond 24 weeks +- 2 weeks. If you are unsure about paternity and have had more than one partner in a 10 day timeframe - a DNA test will be necessary to determine paternity with certainty.

http://www.medcalc.com/pregwheel.html#?314,526 is a good pregnancy wheel - same as used by doctors. Week 0 is first date of LMP, week 1-2 is most likely conception time frame.http://www.healthboot.com/pregnancy/due-date-calculator/ is a good online due date calculator. Due dates are a 'best guess' based on a typical 40 week (from first day of LMP) pregnancy. Typically 38 - 39 weeks after conception date. Normal time between menses is 28 days, some women can range from 21-40 which can change ovulation therefore changing conception date possibilities.
