Ever felt groggy and disgusting, tired and overwhelmed? Well now you don't have to. This article will go through ways to refresh yourself to keep yourself from being in that horrible dirty state.

Think: Why do I feel unrefreshed? Is it because I am dirty, or is it because I am tired? Is it because I haven't accomplished anything? There are a number of reasons to feel unrefreshed. If you can, try to put your finger on what YOUR reason is. One thing that really helps is to get clean. Even if you feel exhausted, drag yourself out of bed, and just get into the shower. I say shower because often times a bath can get you feeling more and more lazy and that may lead to sucumbing to grogginess. While in the shower, wash your hair. Shampoo and conditioner in one is preferable, because you get the same impact, but it takes less effort. Scrub with soap and if you have them, lotions or shower gel.On getting out of the shower, wrap one towel around your torso, and take another to dry your hair. Don't wait too long before combing your hair, because this step is easiest when your hair is freshly conditioned. After combing your hair, brush your teeth. This should take at least a minute. Get dressed. Pick out a comfy outfit that looks nice. If you feel like it, put on some jewelry or lip balm. This can help you to feel further refreshed. If you have Q-tips, get one. It is good to use Q-tips after a bath or shower because your ears are damp.

Once your hair is dry, decide weather you want to keep it down, or put it up. If you choose to put it up, I suggest making a high, tight ponytail. This gets your hair out of the way and also looks really neat. You can also use a headband if you like. Now that you've tackled the dilemma of getting physically refreshed, it's time to get mentally refreshed. If you choose to, clean your room. If it is very messy I would say to leave it for later on the day because cleaning it could lead to frustration. Do you have any homework? If so, tackle it. You should be in a good mood, and should feel mentally ready to get to any tasks that need doing. If your homework is finished, try getting to other odd jobs around the house. This does not have to mean cleaning. If you have a scrapbook, work on it. If you're a dancer, choreograph.Have a nice, refreshing day!

Going outside for a short walk can help you to feel refreshed.Consider making yourself a nice healthy snack.

Ever wonder how to make your hair sleek, smooth and straight but also with volume? It's actually quite simple. Follow these short tips! Works from thick hair to thin hair, any length.

1. Wash your hair. Use a shampoo that smells really good and that will work well for your hair during the process (preferably Herbal Essences). Use a conditioner that's voluming. You can also use 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner for this. If you have thick hair, use a handful of conditioner. If you have thin hair, use a little less. When finished showering, rinse your hair with cold water for a minute or so. (After washing your hair, rinsing it with cool water adds shine and reduces frizz. )
2. Apply a quarter-size amount of thick anti-frizz serum to your damp towel-dried hair to keep your strands smooth. Rub the serum over your hands, then run your fingers through your hair from roots to ends.
3. Dry your hair. Do basic hair drying with a with a round barrel brush. Blow-dry hair on high heat starting with a three-inch-wide section in front. Use a round brush with holes in it so the heat can reach all your strands. Aim the dryer directly at the round brush, first from above and then from below. Spray the roots with a root booster or volumizer. Also spray the hair with a heat protector spray.
4. Section hair in 1-1 1/2 inch sections. Clip up excess hair. Start with the comb at the root of the hair in the section you want to flat iron, then pull the comb through the hair followed by the flat iron. While the hair is still hot from the iron, take your round brush and brush from the root to the end creating volume and body in the hair. You can brush it straight or turn your hand while brushing to create a slight wave. Repeat with each section. You might want to use a larger barrel brush, but not too large.
5. Spray your hair with a light hold hairspray. Let it cool. Flip head upside down and finger comb through the hair. Use a small amount of smoothing serum to smooth an excess frizz.

Tips:
* To add more bounce and volume: Roll each section under a Velcro roller after blow-drying it (while it's still warm). As you dry the rest of your hair, this will prevent it from getting messy and blown around. Velcro rollers add body and bounce.
* Use a ceramic flat iron to avoid damage to your hair.
* Be patient. You may not get it right the first time. It takes practice.
* Bobby Pins work great to pin up hair away from your face.
* For a personal feminine touch, add a few spritzes of perfume to your hair while you brush it dry. That way it will smell great all day.

Keep in mind if you have extremely thick hair, this process takes up to a hour or so. This can be time consuming, but with all hair styles it can be.= Don't hold your straightener on damp hair - it can burn it!
