Yes, Clinique and Calvin Klein are great...if you have money. For the rest of us, off-brand products will have to do. The good news is that they can make you look great if you know what to buy and where to buy it.
Ignore trends! They change almost by the hour so it will be costly, not to mention exhausting to try to keep up. Instead, focus on defining your own individual style. Being unique is hotter than being a carbon copy of a fashion magazine anyway. Only wear the trends that look good on you--if you're long-waisted with a soft tummy, don't wear low-waisted pants. Instead, go for a pencil skirt--classic, and so always in fashion, plus (bonus!) you get the illusion of a perfectly proportioned figure. A mix of trendy pieces and classics always looks classier and more elegant than an entire wardrobe of fashion-magazine items. Go to the drugstore for beauty and hygiene products. The options there are greater than that of most supermarkets, and cheaper than that of most specialty stores.Be thrifty with hair products. If you must splurge, do so on conditioner, not shampoo. Shampoo is for cleaning the hair and unless you swim a lot, you won't need anything special. (If you do swim, you can use a clarifying shampoo or just wash your hair twice.) Never use any more shampoo or conditioner than a dime-sized amount unless you have long hair. And be sure to also cut off split ends.
Check out thrift stores. They can be a huge, mostly untapped resource. Go to ones in college towns where young people move often and may get rid of clothing only a year or two old. Also look for outlet stores. Again, even though the clothing is cheap, look for things that look great on you, not just things that "fit ok."
Go for the cheap jeans. Others will never see a difference between a $25 pair and a $125 pair. In fact, many designer jeans are overwashed to make them soft, and so they wear out much faster; hence, a cheaper pair may fit as well and last longer too. However, be aware that sometimes you do get what you pay for: at least some of the price of designer jeans reflects the quality of the cut, the stitching and the fabric. Don't worry about where you shop - the important thing is whether the item fits, is flattering and a good color. Even low-priced bargain stores (even Wal-mart!) can accidentally make something good, so always have an eye out.
Shop for off-season clothing. Look for end of the season clearance sales. Also look for before and after Christmas sales but be aware that, even at a deep discount, some clothes may not be worth the price. Know ahead of time how much you intend to spend on something and try to stick with it. Look for versatility. For example, look for a button down shirt that looks good open over a t-shirt or buttoned under a sweater. Extra points if it also looks good tucked into dress pants or a skirt for fancy occasions! Make sure your new clothes are machine washable. Trips to the dry-cleaners can eat up money for gas and service, and no one likes doing their laundry by hand.
Go to a discount chain for your trendy shoes - you can get cheap, fun stuff there, because you don't need it to last more than a season or two. But for basics you'll wear every season (basic pumps, black boots that you can wear and look good in the winter, simple strappy sandals), buy good-to-excellent models that are seriously comfortable, in real leather rather than fake, and buy the oils and polishes too so you can keep them in good condition. Try remnant department stores like TJ Maxx for good-quality shoes at discount prices. Stick with the basics for makeup: mascara, lipgloss, blush, concealer, and maybe some liner and shadow. Especially if you have problems with acne or dry skin, a good-quality foundation for sensitive skin (applied with a very light hand on the sponge) is a worthy place to splurge, and really contributes to a polished look. Bad foundation makes the prettiest woman look trashy and tired, and good foundation lifts your whole look. Use disposable razors and men's shaving cream. A pack of disposable razors can last longer and men's shaving cream is much cheaper than women's lotion and gels.
Have a black, a brown, and some summery shade (white is classic, but a pale gray or a subtle metallic can actually be more versatile) of purse--they don't need to match your shoes.
As terrible as Goodwill and the Salvation Army are made out to be, they are a terrific places for cheaper clothing, even compared to thrift stores. At thrift stores, if the purse you HAVE TO HAVE is there, but it has a rip in it, offer a lower price on it. Generally, they'll let you have it to make you happy, so you'll come back, or even just to make the sale. Most clothing is slightly marked up from value, even at thrift stores. Don't be afraid to bargain. Use what you already have. A $7 bottle of shampoo is cheaper than a $3 bottle of shampoo if you already own it. Buy what's on sale. Variety is the spice of life, and it's been proven that using different products makes hair healthy.
Search the web to find out what products are available. Just because it's not heavily advertised doesn't mean it's not good. Try not to buy clothing unless you actually need it. Just because something is on sale doesn't mean you're saving money unless you would have bought it anyway.
If you can sew (and even if you can't) don't be afraid to alter clothing. If you have an old pair of jeans that are beat up on the bottom but the waist still fits then rip out the inseam and make a mini skirt. Got a pair of pants that are too long? Hem them yourself. If you can't sew use those iron on strips or (for a temporary fix) use duct tape to tape them up on the inside.Consider forgoing a gym membership and work out at home instead. Unless you're very serious, some dumbbells, exercise instructions off the internet, and a jog around the block are just as good.
Many low cost and even designer personal care products (shampoos, moisturizers, etc.) contain potentially harmful toxins. If you're concerned about what chemicals get absorbed into your skin, you'd be surprised how many cancer causing chemicals we dump into our systems in the name of heath and personal care.
If you're obsessed with your reputation, NEVER go out telling people you just got new jeans half-price at Wal-Mart. Unless you tell someone, or they look totally Wal-Marty, nobody ever has to know...
Yep, curly hair may well be the next fashion trend. But curly hair comes with its own set of challenges and opportunities, which are met by products and stylists. Taking care of your hair once amonth by going to salon keeps your hair healthy.
How would you take care of your hair?

Dewberries are a common wild berry that grows in many parts of North America, with several close relatives in many European countries. Related to raspberries, boysenberries, and blackberries, they are smaller and less prolific, but for what they lack in size, they make up for in flavor. Here are some steps to help you harvest these delicious berries successfully.
Determine when the berries will begin bearing in your region . Normally, dewberries begin to ripen about 6 weeks after the last freezing temperatures in an area, and continue to bear several weeks, unless drought or extreme heat causes them to become dormant. Find a location where you can pick . Make sure you are on public property, or have permission to enter private property to forage for your berries. Highway and railroad right-of-ways, forestry fire lanes, and country roads are good places to look. Be aware that some highway departments spray herbicides on the right-of-way, so you may have to do a little research to make sure the berries you find are safe to eat.Watch for signs of ripening berries . You will notice dark green clumps of bushy vines with reddish purple stems in open areas with full sun and good drainage. Soon after the last frost, these clumps will be covered with bright white, five-petaled blooms, and soon after, the berries will appear. Watch as they progress from green, to red, then deep purple or glossy black, at which point they are ready to pick.
Dress yourself appropriately for an outdoor experience . The dewberry vines are covered with sharp stickers, so long pants and sturdy boots are recommended. Long sleeves are a very good idea. Dab on some mosquito repellent if you are sensitive to insect bites, and apply some sunscreen or wear a wide brimmed hat to protect your skin. Find a suitable picking container for your effort. Plastic grocery bags, small pails like one gallon ice cream buckets, or plastic mixing bowls will work for this step. Handles will make carrying these containers easier if they have them. A one or two quart bucket with a handle fastened onto your belt will free both hands for picking, or a hand for picking and one to hold your stick. Take along a walking stick or some other implement to probe the thick briar vines for snakes or other hazards if you are going to pick in an area of thick growth where you cannot see the area where you are walking clearly.
Locate an area to pick where there are clean areas to stand, to avoid an unexpected confrontation with snakes or fire ants, or other unwelcome creatures. Ideally, you will pick in a place where there is minimal dust from traffic or other sources, since the berry's tiny lobes make cleaning dust from them difficult. Examine the area around the dewberry vines for hazards, which may include wasp nests, poison oak or ivy, fire ants, or even venomous snakes. Look for traffic dangers also, if you are picking along a roadway.
Dried, wilted berries are not worth picking
Dried, wilted berries are not worth picking
Learn to distinguish the prime berries, those that are completely ripe, but haven't begun to wilt. Look for bug sting marks where stinkbugs or other pests have already dined on your fruit. The ideal berries will be glossy black, with a firm feel, and little red appearing on any of the lobes.
Pick the berries along the perimeter of the patch of vines you are searching, choosing the ones on vertical stems that can be reached without placing your hands too far into the tangle. Dewberry vines have tiny, razor-sharp thorns that can easily prick an unsuspecting picker painfully.Grasp individual berries carefullyto keep from crushing or bruising them. Pull the berry at an angle from the stem, breaking it away rather than tugging it. This will leave the bud on the vine stems, rather than the berry, saving time later when you are cleaning them. Pull the berry into the cup of the palm of your hand, so you can use your thumb and fingers to continue picking until your palm is full, rather than taking individual berries to the bucket every time you pick one. Drop the berries into your container carefully, keeping them from being crushed or bruised. These berries have very tender skins, and abusing them will make its impossible to clean them thoroughly for eating later.
Wash your berries when you get them home by placing them in a large bowl, and slowly filling the bowl with water until the berries have sufficient water and room to float freely. Stir them gently with your hand to dislodge any dirt or debris that was collected with them.
Enjoy fresh dewberry cobbler
Enjoy your berries in a fresh pie, cobbler, or covered with fresh cream and sugar.
Tips:
* Pick early in the morning while there is dew on the vines or soon after a rain shower for fresh, clean berries.
* Keep your berries out of the sun while traveling, and protect them from being shaken about and bruised.
* Look around at all the sights while you are picking. You may see animals, their tracks, other berries that will ripen later, and tons of spring wildflowers.
* Do not wash berries until you are ready to use them, as the water will make it easier for molds to grow on the surface.
Sassafras bushes that can be harvested next fall for sassafras tea!
Rattlesnakes are frequent visitors to wild dewberry patches, where they can often find an easy meal. Dewberry briars, although small, can inflict painful wounds.
Those little briars can cause painful scratches!

The average American consumes almost 160 pounds of refined sugar each year. A recent article in the British Medical Journal described sugar as "as dangerous as tobacco" and proposed that it be re-classified as a hard drug. There is no physiological need for any of us to eat refined sugars, it does us no good and if you are looking to shed a few pounds, it is a great place to start.
1. Decide why you want to stop eating too much sugar. Your motivation might be to lose weight, feel fitter, to reduce a yeast infection or simply to set a better example for your children.
2. Identify the sources of sugar in your diet, and decide what to cut out completely and what to cut down on.
3. Go into your kitchen and throw out anything you have decided not to eat or drink anymore. If you can't do this because you live with your family or you are a child, then put all of the ST (sweet things) in a drawer or shelf out of sight and - hopefully - out of mind!.
4. If you don't want to give up all the candy, then make a chart of the days of the week. Decide how much sugar you are allowed to eat a day. For instance, on Mondays you need an extra kick in the coffee so you can have 2 sugars in it. Or on Saturday you go out with your friends so you are allowed to have a dessert. You can decide how restricting or not your graph is.
5. Eat a good breakfast of toast or cereal to keep you going through the day. These release energy slowly, so you will be less likely to crave sugar.
6. Replace your sugary snacks with healthy ones. Carrot sticks, nuts and dried fruit are easy to carry around.
7. Eat more fruit. but drink less pure fruit juice, which is high in sugar in another form (fructose).
8. Drink your coffee or tea without sugar. You can add cream to either (not advisable if you want to lose weight), and/or honey to your tea. If you're used to adding a lot of sugar, then wean yourself off gradually by the teaspoon or packet. Eventually you'll get used to it and you may discover the more subtle flavors of coffee or tea that were overpowered by sweetness before.
9. Avoid processed foods. Shockingly, sugar is to be found in most tinned vegetables, ready meals and convenience foods.
10. Recognize also the different forms sugar can take: sucrose, fructose, dextrose, palm syrup, corn syrup, golden syrup, honey... they are all sugars, although some are metabolized more slowly.
Tell your friends and family what you are doing and why. Chances are, they will be really into it and help you.If you have a boyfriend or girlfriend, telling him might be a good idea so they don't buy you chocolates or are offended when you don't eat the cake they order. Decide on your goals and then hold yourself to those goals. Never permit exceptions! Read the labels on all foodstuffs - the most unlikely things have sugar in them: baby foods, tinned vegetables, crisps. These are the "hidden sugars" that do so much damage.Putting black pepper on strawberries makes them taste sweeter. There is also a herb called Sweet Cicely - beloved of diabetics - which does the same thing. Strange, but true!Another natural sweetener is Stevia, which is popular in Japan and South-America, but hard to obtain in Europe and USA. It is easy and fun to grow your own plants, though.

It is always a good idea to make your room a little more comfortable. If your bedroom just feels like another room in the house, why not add things to make it feel more like your own special place, more homey? Why not make your room someplace that you look forward to relaxing after a long day at school? Here's how.
Paint the walls warm colors and try to steer away from harsh colors on the walls or floor. White is a very neutral color, and good colors also include cream or pastel colors. Harsh colors will make your room look smaller, and sleeping will be more difficult in a bold, dark room. Choose a carpet that feels comfortable. If you already have a carpet down, but want your room to be more cozy, put down a fluffy rug. Put up pictures, photos or posters on the walls. Anything that makes you feel at home, or you like to look at, will make your bedroom feel more homey and more like yours. Choose some curtains. If you have pale walls, you could hang warm colored curtains which could be a feature of your room. An example of this is warm colored curtains such as brown, orange or red against cream or white walls.
Make your bed feel cozy. This could mean buying a larger duvet, buying new bed covers or putting throws on your bed. Add finishing touches to the bed, such as cushions. Try and get some that blend in with the colors of the room. Put up some shelves and display your things. This could be photos, ornaments, anything you want. Putting personal items around you will make your bedroom feel more like your own private place and not just a room.
Add some finishing touches. This could be a noticeboard filled with photos of friends and family or a row of pictures you have chosen. You could display your own art work, a painting you like or drawings. If you are quite girly or like quirky things, you could attach fairy lights above your bed or somewhere in your bedroom, or hang wind chimes near the window or charms on the walls. You could put scented candles around or incense sticks. Anything that you like to look at will make the bedroom more homey! Buy an oil burner. Get an oil scent you like. Try apple cinnamon, pumpkin spice; usually fall smells are warm and inviting. Lighting. If you want a room to look and feel cozy, use normal incandescent light bulbs that make yellow light. Fluorescent lamps make white light, witch isn't cozy at all. However, if you're an environmentalist, you can put yellow filters on your florescent lamps, achieving the same effect.
Think about lighting. Decide whether to have a light that can be dimmed so you can lower the light at night to make it less harsh, or have lamps around your room for when it gets dark. Fill your room with comfy cushions or beanbags to make it more cozy.Keep the bedroom tidy or it will start to feel cluttered and you won't want to be in there. Quiet music is good, it relaxes people. And if you aren't a music person then don't. It will make the room a place you don't want to be. It's okay if you want to put some pictures or posters up, but don't overdo it.
If you do light scented candles or incense sticks, always be careful and responsible with them and extinguish them properly before you go to sleep or go out.
If you share a room with someone, make sure they agree with the changes you make to the room. If you are still with your parents, make sure they give you permission before you make any big changes (like painting the walls).

One of the most difficult things to achieve in matters of fashion is that precious, perfectly polished look for which you have to spend tons of money and loads of time. But the fascination a glamor girl exudes is worth every penny and second of it. Designer items are the dream of every fashionista. They're gorgeous, extremely well-tailored, good at boosting your social status, and outrageously expensive. However, they're not exclusively reserved to the filthy rich; average people can afford them too, if they know a few shopping rules.
Few of us will ever be able to afford to be true armani or girls. Armani is one of the highest level of fashion possible, and refers to clothing that is custom made and fitted by the top designers in the world. Armani clothing is chosen by the very rich, the very vain and the very influential. For example, couture dresses are often given to movie stars to wear to the Academy Awards to promote a designer's new line or seasonal look. That said, by understanding and following fashion it is possible to cultivate a couture look without spending a great deal of money.
Please visit Armani Exchange and check out their New Premium Denim starting at $98. Take not people, Armani Exchange is giving away a pair of denim everyday for the month of July. Hi guys, how was your 4Th of July go? Our went well, we were busy Thursday and Friday helping my in-laws cleaning their house to get ready for 4Th of July Saturday. They had a big family barbecue to celebrate Independence day. My in-laws hired a chef to barbecue and prepare the food for 4Th of July. The food was really good, we had rib and chicken, hot dog. Cole slaw, greens cooked with turkey, watermelon, potato salad, homemade ice cream and my favorite dessert peach cobbler (hmm yummy). There were 30 people, kids and adults, while porking out we were listening to Michael Jackson's songs.
After the dinner, and started to darken we all went out front my in laws house to lit the fireworks, we let the youngsters did all the lighting. I tried to capture the fireworks while climbing up. I had 3 successful shots, and I think they turn real great. Anywho here are some the picture that I tooked.

It is not easy for women to find a good man, and to be honest it is not easy for a man to find a good woman. This is written from a man's perspective to help frustrated women that are sincerely looking for a good man but keep finding losers.( Bato-bato sa langit matamaan hwag magalit),
Be yourself. When you meet someone for the first time, you may be tempted to be someone you're not, such as "putting on your best face". There's nothing wrong with wanting to make a good impression. However, it is possible to take this too far and in turn repel men. The same applies with myths about dressing sexy and excessive flirtation. If you do not respect your body, you will only attract men who have a similar lack of respect for you and your body, and a good man will find it more difficult to take you seriously. Be yourself, and a real man will respect you.
Have a life. Desperate, dramatic, and clingy relationships are often rooted in a feeling of need and desperation for a man to fill your life. Even if you have low self-esteem, but work over time to build it. Pursue your goals, explore your passions, have an interesting life, do things that take you outside your boundaries. Don't put up a tough exterior to get over shyness; gradually learn to build trust with a network of people, so that your boyfriend isn't the only person you open up to and share your life with.
Be relaxed and cool. Most guys hate it when girls are possessive, bitchy, clingy, controlling, etc. Learn to relax, and have fun. We all have too much going on in our lives; don't be the high maintenance "drama queen". Having a woman around who makes life more difficult than enjoyable will make a man lose interest. If you do things like show genuine concern when the man has had a rough day, it will earn his respect and go toward winning him over and a good man will reciprocate. Remember that most men, especially the good ones, are looking for someone with whom they can be comfortable, and not someone who is always intense.
Realize differences in communication. Men can often miss the subtle messages that women send in their body language. Don't judge a guy because of this, it's just the way men are. Subtle body language like smiles only make a man think that you might like him; he can't assume it means you're interested without being accused of being a self-absorbed jerk. To drive the point home, gradually introduce more "obvious" body language like playful touches on the arm, playful banter and teasing, winks, inside jokes, playfulness, or (when you know him better) attempts to find a man's ticklish spots. (Don't be afraid to kindly tease him over minor things - women who pretend a man is perfect are regarded as weak in their eyes.) Flirting will not only show him you like him enough to get that physical and playful, but also help to break the physical barrier and allow a man to feel more comfortable making a few advances to you. But don't forget to look at how he is reacting to you.
Take a good look at yourself. Psychological studies have shown that people seek out partners to fill a psychological void. Sometimes these voids are unhealthy, for example a woman who is unhealthy will actually seek out any man for the "high of seduction" or to get attention and feel desirable. Look inside yourself and ask yourself why you want a man so bad, be truly honest with yourself, and if need be talk to a therapist about this. A woman with issues only attracts a guy with issues as well, and a good, real man doesn't want anything to do with a woman who has more issues than TIME magazine. If you want a good, healthy relationship with a real man, make certain that your own mental state and intentions are healthy.
Drop the games. Nobody likes a partner who plays "head games". This is deceptive, and will hurt anybody who trusts you. Be real, don't play games, and good men will respect you and may even pursue you. Playing head games will only make good men run away. Remember the communication thing? That is especially true here. If you like a guy, don't push him away and act like you don't like him. Tell him. Yes, there are some men who do like the thrill of the chase, but all good men genuinely want to respect you and your wishes, and will leave you alone if you insist on it. Remember, men communicate directly, if you act like you don't want him, he'll think you don't want him.
Treat him with respect. This is the most important thing of all. Men hate being around a woman who emasculates them, and a good man won't take long to leave such a woman. Don't be afraid to help your man feel good about himself. A little known secret is that men are just as insecure as women. If he's with his friends or family be open to opportunities to let your man look like "the man". It will win his love and respect.
Don't be afraid to make a move. Let's be real, a good man doesn't desperately need any woman, he would like to meet a good woman. If he's a good man, he will appreciate the compliment to his attractiveness, at the very least. But remember that compliments are usually given to acquaintances - people who are intimate usually have a more honest connection, with playful teasing and banter. Think of good relationships between brothers and sisters, parents and children, especially couples - they're always joking, laughing, teasing, flirting in a positive way. A woman who is always complimenting may simply be boring and look desperate. Even if you are old-fashioned and never want to be the woman who asks a man for a date, you can still go out of your way to talk to him, and arrange to be with him. Don't over do this, however; unless he is already attracted to you before the encounter, the more obvious it is that you've put a ton of time into the encounter without his direct encouragement, the more desperate and less attractive you look. Work on building attraction first.
Respect yourself. If you say no, he should stop. If he doesn't stop, leave. Don't ever be uncomfortable saying no. Don't go against your morals to try to keep a guy. If you feel this is necessary, then either he's not a good man, or he is a good one but simply isn't a good match for you specifically (e. g. he is currently "playing the field" and is up front and honest about it, but you're looking for an exclusive relationship). Don't be uncomfortable saying yes, either. If you feel the time is right, believe in your worth and don't worry that you're "giving yourself away." You respect yourself and you're confident that he'll come back for more! A man who doesn't respect you in the morning never properly respected you to begin with, and a man who doesn't respect your wishes to wait is too impatient to make a good partner. Either way, find someone else.
Follow the Golden Rule. That means apply the same rules to yourself that you'd apply to others, including him. Real men do in fact notice this, they just don't scream it out. For example, if you do want to try finding his ticklish spots, then don't complain one bit if he tries finding yours in return. Don't go on about how you "don't NEED no man!" or about "men this, men that" if you don't want him treating you the same way. DO, on the other hand, treat him--and others--with respect, dignity, and honor. Others will notice, too, and who knows--if they know you want a good, real man but don't yet have one, they just might introduce you to one!
11. Don't Be Clingy. This means don't show that you love this person by being near them all the time they need space and they need to know that you don't want to follow them everywhere you go and they need to know that you have your own life.
A good way to meet someone is through other people, or activities you enjoy. Some advice about being genuine: Don't take up hobbies or habits just to meet someone. If you meet him in a bar, he's liable to be a drinker. If you meet him in a house of worship, he's likely to be religious. First impressions are important, so if his first impression of you is "party girl", it will be difficult to change. The same thing goes for if his first impression of you is "uptight girl" or "mind-game girl". Practice the Golden Rule. If you want him to do something, you should be equally willing to do it yourself. You want him to ask you out or take you out or do whatever else for you? You should be equally willing, and don't wait for or expect him to do it first. Good men respect a woman who applies the same rules to herself that she would apply to a man.
Always give a man his space when he needs it - never come between a man and his friends, asking him to choose - he will ultimately resent you for it, even if he initially chooses you. Remember - interesting men look for interesting women. Make sure your life is about more than just him.
