With advanced technology, Internet, and computers, we are now able to do large and difficult tasks with the push of a button. This article will explain how to make a family tree online quickly and easily.

Gather as much family history you know including: Family members, genders, birth dates/birthplaces, and death dates/death place of ancestors.
Make a rough draft of your family tree. Start with yourself and work your way outwards towards your mother, father, and their parents/children/siblings. If you have blanks or missing places on your family tree, because you do not know some of the people or their information, that's OK. There are several resources to help you find people. On most family tree sites, they also provide ancestor-finding technology that is available.
Visit an ancestry/family tree making website and simply follow the directions from there using the information you have gathered about your family. Two of the more popular websites include family in history and tribal pages<

  • There are also family tree software that you can find online to download and fill in. These are similar to the sites, though. Choose which ever you prefer. Both ways are easy-to-use and convenient.

  • You may not have the information necessary to make the family tree. Be sure to either seek information from family members or, if they're also clueless, online.
